Returns Policy

At Limelight Memorabilia, your satisfaction and confidence are paramount. We adhere to your legal rights to ensure a straightforward and fair returns process.

Our 14-Day Right to Cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a strict statutory right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days from the day you, or a specified third party, take physical possession of the goods. This 14-day notification window is absolute and enforced to the exact day. Once this period has expired, Limelight Memorabilia is under no legal obligation to accept a change-of-mind return request.

Please note that this right to cancel applies exclusively to standard, non-customised stock items. To qualify for a refund, the goods must be returned in immaculate showroom condition, completely unaltered, and wrapped in all their original protective materials. The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is treated as an intrinsic part of the product. If the COA is missing, creased, or altered, the item loses its commercial value as a certified collectible, and a deduction of up to 100% will be legally applied to your refund.

Sealed Packaging and Diminished Value

To protect the pristine condition of our high-value autographed stock, unframed signed shirts are dispatched inside a sealed, tamper-evident, completely transparent acrylic wallet. Because this protective packaging is fully transparent, it allows you to completely inspect the signature, fabric, presentation, and overall quality of the item without breaching the seal.

Under UK distance selling laws, handling goods beyond what is reasonably permitted in a physical retail shop environment allows merchants to deduct value from a refund. Breaking the protective foil security seal on the acrylic wallet constitutes excessive handling. If an item is returned with a broken, tampered, or removed security seal, a deduction of up to 100% will be legally applied to your final refund amount to account for the diminished commercial value and necessary recertification of the collectible.

Bespoke and Personalised Items

In accordance with UK consumer law, the standard 14-day online cooling-off period does not apply to goods that are made to order, bespoke, or clearly personalised.

Because our premium framed jerseys, hand-signed shirts, and multi-display presentations are individually mounted, sealed, and custom-built specifically to fulfil your order selection, they are legally classified as bespoke. Consequently, all purchases of framed or uniquely personalised items are completely final. We cannot accept cancellations, returns, or exchange requests for any bespoke configurations once the framing or production process has commenced.

How to Initiate a Return

If your item is eligible for a return under our standard terms, you must strictly adhere to our mandatory Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) procedure. Unsolicited packages sent to our premises will be summarily rejected.

To initiate the process, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Contact our customer service team via email within the strict 14-day window to formally request an RMA form.

  2. Provide high-resolution photographs of the item, the packaging, the security seal, and the COA to verify their pristine condition.

  3. Upon administrative approval, you will be issued a unique RMA number and the designated return address.

  4. Clearly print the RMA number on the exterior of the shipping box. Any package arriving at our facility without a visible, authorised RMA number will be turned away at the loading bay at your expense.

Once an RMA is issued, the physical item must be delivered back to our warehouse within exactly 14 calendar days or the return window will be voided.

Return Shipping Costs and Refund Exclusions

The customer is solely and fully responsible for organising, executing, and paying all costs associated with returning items to us.

  • Outbound Shipping Non-Refundable: Please note that all initial outbound shipping, handling, and delivery charges paid at the time of purchase are completely non-refundable. Any refund issued for an approved change-of-mind return will be solely for the cost of the physical product.

  • Required Shipping Service: You must utilise a premium, fully tracked, and signed-for courier service for the return journey.

  • Insurance Mandate: The transit service you choose must include comprehensive insurance cover that spans the exact retail value of the enclosed item.

  • Liability for Transit Damage: The product remains your legal responsibility until it is safely received and signed for by our team. If your chosen courier causes any damage to the frame, glass, or memorabilia during transit, the return will be rejected and you will need to seek compensation directly from your courier.

  • Packaging Standards: Items must be repackaged using all the original internal protective corner guards, heavy-duty bubble wrap, and structural shipping crates. Failure to secure the item properly will result in a denial of your refund if transit damage occurs.

Damaged, Faulty, or Not as Described Items

In the event that an item arrives damaged, faulty, or does not match the provided description, your rights are fully protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Immediate Notification: You must inspect your delivery immediately upon arrival. Any transit damage or discrepancies must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by comprehensive photographic evidence of both the item and the external delivery box.

  • 30-Day Statutory Window: For genuine structural faults or items that are proven to be not as described, you have a legal right to request a full refund, repair, or replacement within 30 days of receiving the goods.

  • Verification Process: All reported issues will undergo a rigorous internal assessment upon return before any remedy is issued. If a fault is validated by our technicians, Limelight Memorabilia will reimburse reasonable, pre-approved return shipping costs.
